Concrete Construction
Concrete contractors can seem expensive when you don't clearly understand the amount of work, machines and skill that is involved in this beautiful construction material. Every project starts with Concrete Formwork. This is the prep work which is a temporary mould used to shape the concrete. When the formwork is completed, the professionals will lay down the gravel base, insert wire mesh if the structure will need extra reinforcement and start the pouring. It is recommended to have 4'' as a minimum. When the concrete has dried, usually 24 to 48 hours the finishing will begin. You are able to choose from a variety of finishes, colours and textures. Finishing the concrete is when it all comes together. Our crew will pour, spread, screed, float and trowel the concrete until the edges and grooves are filled and the concrete leveling is at its proper grade. Curing concrete takes approximately 28 days. It is recommended to stay off of it during this time so it can have a perfect finish.
Concrete Maintenance
Our concrete Professionals are able to help get your concrete looking new again. We can fix spalling cracks and damage, sealing, cracking, joint repair, concrete patching and resurfacing. If you just want to have your concrete cleaned because it's been a few years and could use a facelift, we are able to help with that as well. No job is too big or too small.
Concrete Is Everywhere
You may not realize it but we are surrounded by concrete, world wide. Our roads, bridges and buildings are built with concrete due to its strength, long life and low maintenance. Concrete can be used both indoors and outdoors. An outdoor landscape with exposed gravel finish adds texture and interest while a custom concrete countertop in your kitchen adds an industrial feel with a smooth touch. You can add concrete to many areas in your life. Here is a short list of popular concrete designs.

Concrete is a building material that builds strength over time. It can withstand weathering, erosion, fire, rotting and most natural disasters. It needs very little repairs and maintenance and when done properly, it can add value to your home. Concrete is one of the most consumed products worldwide. With more than 10 billion tons being produced annually, world wide. Cement is often confused with concrete, but lets be clear, the mixing aggregates added in the concrete blending process makes concrete much stronger. Concrete is also one of the best natural building materials to use when considering environmental impact of construction. Concrete is a low maintenance commitment. When it is sealed properly, you will only need to sweep or lightly wet mop it to keep it looking like new, due to the aggregates added. Aggregates help shrug off dirt, grit, stains, spills and hard impacts. Concrete can also be used for decorative landscaping. Have you ever noticed the beauty of a concrete retaining wall, walkway, fountain or even furniture? Many times you don't even know what these items are made of because of the many options available to use for finishing.

Stamped Concrete
Concrete can come in a wide variety of colours and finishes. Concrete stamps are available in many designs. Random stone, Herringbone, European fan, Barn board and York stone to list a few. You can add the colour of your choice and expect a beautiful finish.
Exposed Aggregate
Most times exposed aggregate is so beautiful that adding colour isn't recommended. This finish creates a small bumpy feel but still smooth enough to walk on. Exposed aggregate is a little pricier but well worth the investment for its long lasting durability, style and low maintenance. Exposed aggregate works very well on driveways, patios and entertainment areas. The decorative abilities with this finish are seemingly endless.
Polished Concrete
Polished concrete is one of the most popular finishes. Polished concrete is achieved by running a variety of polishing and grinding processes and when completed, you are left with a stunning floor. Despite being a polished and smooth floor, polished concrete offers a non-slip surface so don't worry, you won't need to concern yourself with slippery floors. The low maintenance is truly top of the line. Since there are no seams, there is no grout to clean and they are completely sealed. Therefor a light mop now and again will keep it looking fresh and new. One other bonus of polished concrete, is that it can take on a great deal of wear and tear.
